Situated in the western part of Jiaojiang District, Taizhou, Zhejiang, the Taizhou Fish Market benefits from its prime location along the river's northern edge. The project embodies the essence of "fishing" culture, seamlessly blending cultural tourism with leisure.
The market spans 135,500 square metres, with 213,000 square metres of built space. Key facilities include a cold storage warehouse, wholesale markets for aquatic and dry goods, a yellow croaker exhibition hall, waterfront commercial areas, retail outlets, office spaces, and a multi-storey car park.

Vision
Leveraging the "One River, Two Banks" initiative of Jiaojiang District, the project aims to lead a new era in aquatic trade. It aspires to create a high-standard fishing-themed complex that integrates fisheries with tourism, education, culture, and wellness.
Commercial Strategy: "Tourism Driven by Industry"
The market seeks to celebrate Taizhou’s distinctive fishery heritage, using this identity to drive tourism and commercial activities. Following the "Tourism Driven by Industry" approach, the project envisions a unique landmark powered by the synergy of industry and cultural tourism.
Master Plan: "Southern Industry, Northern Tourism"
A major urban road facilitates access to the southern part of the site, which houses industrial buildings such as the wholesale aquatic market, cold storage facilities, and car parks. This area supports 426 operators, including 132 permanent stores and 294 mobile stalls offering frozen and fresh seafood. Well-organised traffic flows ensure seamless connectivity and efficient cold chain management.

To the north, the project integrates with the "One River, Two Banks" waterfront landscape. This area features smaller-scale architecture, open spaces, and two commercial plots along an 800-metre riverfront. It offers diverse facilities such as themed restaurants, cultural attractions, and experiential spaces, transforming Taizhou into a global seafood destination.
At the heart of the project, "The Fulcrum" serves as a central activity square, connecting the various elements. A second-floor viewing platform provides insights into the vibrant aquatic trade, furthering the "Tourism Driven by Industry" ethos and establishing Taizhou Fish Market as a cultural and tourist hub.
Currently under construction, the project is designed by Spark.
