The Hong Kong Business Aviation Centre, Limited (HKBAC) recently opened its new HK$170 million, state-of-the-art Hangar 3, boosting Hong Kong's business aviation hangar capacity by 55 per cent. HKBAC is 35% owned by Sun Hung Kai Properties.
     Hangar 3 has 4,000 square meters of floor area that will let the HKBAC accommodate six additional jets and offer maintenance inside. The HKBAC recorded 7,000 aircraft movements in 2011, a 24 per cent increase over 2010 and a 1,941 per cent rise compared to 1998 when the HKBAC established.
     HKBAC Chairman Tony Miller said that the third hangar was the latest investment by the company to meet the rapidly-growing demand for business aviation in Hong Kong and reinforce city's position as the business aviation hub of Asia.
     The HKBAC operates around the clock and provides a full range of aircraft refueling, ground handling, passenger services, aircraft hangarage and line maintenance out for business aircraft, their crews and passengers.
