Potential sites for reclamation and rock cavern will be announced soon
Government plans to propose potential sites for reclamation and rock cavern development early next year. The stage one public engagement exercise for Enhancing Land Supply Strategy: Reclamation Outside Victoria Harbour & Rock Cavern Development ended in March. The government will publish the stage one report and propose several possible sites worthy of further consideration for reclamation and rock cavern development to launch the stage 2 exercise in the first quarter of 2013.
The Government continues the development of a comprehensive cycle track network in the New Territories. Construction of the section between Sheung Shui and Ma On Shan started in May 2010 for completion in 2013. The first phase of the Tuen Mun to Sheung Shui section will start in 2013 for completion in 2017.
Upon completion of the project, Hong Kong will have a 105 km long cycle track network traversing various districts of the New Territories.
