Chengdu IFS won ICSC VIVA Best of the Best Global Award
Chengdu International Finance Square (Chengdu IFS) is being awarded the "2016 VIVA Best-of-the-Best Design and Development Award" presented by International Council of Shopping Center (ICSC), representing China's first-ever commercial property project winning this global title. Christina Hau, General Manager (Operations) of Wharf China Estates Limited, received the award at the ceremony held at Las Vegas on May 22, 2016.
ICSC commented, "Chengdu IFS was honoured for its 'City within a City' mixed-use design, which incorporates premium office space, Niccolo Hotel, and luxury residential properties that sit above an eight-level retail and lifestyle podium."
The center, developed by The Wharf (Holdings) Limited, has a Family Zone featuring an ice skating rink, food court, and family and children’s stores; High Zone featuring double height shopfronts containing nearly 300 top-tier luxury and lifestyle brands; Sky Zone housing trend and contemporary brands as well as major entertainment and food and beverage anchors; and the Sky Garden - a green roof space with a unique sculpture garden, dining options, and art gallery.
"Designed by Benoy, Chengdu IFS shopping mall has not only realised sustainability of green intelligence but it has also raised the bar for commercial properties and set a role model amid the rapid internationalization of Chengdu," said Ms Doreen Lee, Vice Chairman of The Wharf (Holdings) Limited.
"In addition to the pursuit of excellence in architectural design and business management, CDIFS brings to live a host of talk-of-the-town events since its opening two years ago. Along its "City within a City" concept, Chengdu IFS aims to introduce new lifestyle and new shopping experience beyond luxury shopping for people in Chengdu." added Ms Lee.
