China Railway Construction 18 Bureau and Shenzhen Metro Corporation announced recently that construction has begun on Line 10. With an estimated investment of approximately RMB26.76 billion, the new line will cover a total distance of 29.2 km running from Futian Crossing station north to Pinghu Center terminal station in Longgang district, Shenzhen.
     The Pinghu Center terminal station will have 2 levels of train platforms being constructed by dig-and-cover method. The station will be situated 22 meters deep from the ground and to be constructed in one structure. The underground train platform will be 710 m long which makes it the longest station platform under construction in Asia.
