The Buildings Department approved 19 building plans in July – eight on Hong Kong Island, four in Kowloon and seven in the New Territories.
Of the approved plans, 12 were for apartment or apartment-commercial developments, while one was for factory and industrial development, and the remaining six were for community services developments.
Consent was given for works to start on eight building projects which, when completed, will provide a combined 101,907 square metres of gross floor area for domestic use, involving 1,615 units, and 8,868 sq m of gross floor area for non-domestic use.
Additionally, the department received notification of commencement of superstructure works for six building projects.
It also issued eight occupation permits – three on Hong Kong Island, two in Kowloon and three in the New Territories.
Buildings certified for occupation make up a combined 30,617 sq m of gross floor area for domestic use, involving 128 units, and 12,438 sq m for non-domestic use.
Meanwhile, the department received 2,547 reports about unauthorised building works in July and issued 802 removal orders.
