Large-scale TOD project at Guangzhou South Railway Station

Guangzhou International Commerce Centre (Guangzhou South Railway Station ICC), a new integrated development developed by Sun Hung Kai Properties Limited (SHKP), has entered a new milestone with the sale of its residential component, which is expected to be delivered in the first quarter of 2025.

In order to take full advantage of the transportation advantages of Guangzhou South Railway Station and achieve seamless connection with the station, SHKP developed the project with years of TOD design and management experience, and invited SOM, KPF, Nikken Sekkei and other international consultants to design and plan the Guangzhou South Station ICC into a world-class large-scale integrated TOD project with a total floor area of about 9.3 million square feet.

The development adopts the layout of "East Business, West Transportation," integrating business, housing and transportation, providing Grade A office buildings, one-stop shopping malls, hotels, high-quality residences and apartments, and public transportation transfer facilities, integrating green ecology, smart travel, and sustainable development.

In addition, SHKP has invested nearly RMB 3.5 billion in the construction of more than 4.4 million square feet of public transport hub facilities to provide a comfortable interchange experience. It is planned to coordinate various transportation functions as well as people, vehicles and logistics, providing 700 taxi parking spaces, 3,300 public parking spaces, all-weather bus pick-up and drop-off areas, and fast pick-up and drop-off zones for private cars to achieve a "seamless" upgrade and transformation.
