San Tin Technopole awards contracts worth over HKD580 million

The Civil Engineering and Development Department has recently signed a contract worth approximately HKD228 million with Kuly Construction & Engineering Co Ltd for the Phase 1, Stage 1 (East) development of San Tin Technopole, involving site formation and infrastructure works. At the same time, the department awarded another contract related to the Phase 1, Stage 1 (West) site formation and related works to the CR15G-Tung Lee Joint Venture, valued at approximately HKD359 million.


Main Contractor: Kuly Construction & Engineering Co Ltd 
San Tin Technopole, Phase 1, Stage 1 (East) 
Contract sum: HKD228 million
The main works include
- Site formation of lands (including site clearance) and ground investigation works;
- Construction of at-grade Road L27 connecting to Lok Ma Chau Road;
- Construction of associated works including footpaths, drainage (including construction of box culverts), sewerage, water mains, landscaping works and slope works; and
- Implementation of environmental mitigation measures and environmental monitoring works for the works mentioned above.
     The works commenced on 31 December 2024 and will take about 40 months to complete.

San Tin Technopole, Phase 1, Stage 1 (West) 
Contract sum: HKD359 million
The main works include:
- Site formation of lands (including site clearance) and ground investigation works;
- Land decontamination works;
- Archaeological survey;
- Diversion works of existing roads, cycle tracks, drainage, sewerage, water supply and utilities systems; and
- Implementation of environmental mitigation measures and environmental monitoring works for the works mentioned above.
     The works commenced on 31 December 2024 and will take about 32 months to complete.
